Best way to meet people at PAC

If you’re like me, and I’ll assume that you are, you will at one time felt out of place, lonely, disconnected from the many people around you at PAC.  It’s not that you don’t want to get to know people here, but lets be honest, this can be a pretty big place and sometimes it’s the busiest places with the most people that feel the loneliest.

If you have kids, and I’ll assume that you do, that’s why you’re reading our children’s ministry blog, you might even stand in line or pick up your children with a bunch of other parents who might just be feeling the same disconnected emotions that you do.  Luckily, I do know of the best way, by far, to meet people at PAC – serving on our registration team!

Serving on the registration team gives you the opportunity to put names and faces together of about 80 families, 130 kids, 60 other team members and other people who worship at PAC. You’ll get to make the connections of what kid belongs to what family, be able to welcome new families the way that you would like to be welcomed at a new church and get to know other Kids Rock team members really well – so well, you’ll probably make some really good friends in the process!

Other perks include:

  • Coffee, water, fruit and muffins on the Sunday you serve
  • Prayer support from the Kids Rock team
  • An awesome Kids Rock t-shirt and name tag
  • Training on how our systems work
  • Affirmations of a job well done
  • All supplies, materials are provided
  • Great support from our Registration Coordinator, Karen Wiebe
  • And lots more!

If you’re interested in being a part of the team and meeting all sorts of new people, fill out this quick contact form here, leave a comment, post on our PAC Kids Rock Facebook page, email me at sgreer[at]portagechurch[dot]com, or phone the church office at (204) 239-1112.
