Dear Parents

Dear Parents

Most of you know who I am, some of you don’t.  In fact, there are some of you that I don’t know, and I sure hope to change that.  My name is Stafford and I am a pastor to children at Portage Alliance Church.  It’s hard define what being a pastor to children looks like, but essentially it looks like working with children.  Which also means I work with their families – which means I work with you.  I would like to let you in on the things that happen with your children while at church; what happens with your family while at church.

  • You are invited to be a part of what is happening! I am filled with all sorts of joy that I can’t explain when I see parents actively engaging in their kids church experience.  Come and sit in with your kids on a Sunday to see what happens in their world, watch them worship in the K-3 room, join a small group in the preteen class, whatever! I’ll need a background check, but you’ll get a cool PAC Kids Rock shirt, nametag and position on our fantastic team!
  • I see your child growing and learning! Each child I see in Kids Rock, yes including yours, is growing and learning! Making the effort to attend church with your children actually IS paying off!  Sometimes you can’t see it because of how close you are to the situation, but I do! PAC Kids Rock is a safe and fun place to learn and grow and to help support the effort you make to lead your family in a godly way.  Keep coming. Invite your friends. Get involved. It’s totally worth it!
  • You never inconvenience me with questions about your child’s ministry area! Seriously. Ask me all the questions that you want – I would love the opportunity to show you around, see the curriculum, Bible stories, teachers and class rooms.  I’ll even buy you lunch and we can talk at length.  Ask away, I am eager to show off all the great things happening in PAC Kids Rock!

I really do love each of your children and I am so excited to get to serve you in 2012.  I hope we can get to know each other better because it makes Kids Rock a better place to be and because friendships are formed the better you know each other!

Lots of love!
